FAMUFEST 36 (2020):
"Best Documentary under 15 minutes"
Chuhei Iwasaki is a Prague-based conductor of numerous prestigious orchestras in the Czech Republic. René Kmet is a student of film directing and has always admired the immediacy of gestures and commands with which conductors can guide and lead their orchestras. Hence, René embarks on a crash course in conducting under Chuhei's mentorship, in the hope of being able to take away a useful lesson for his film directing. The result is an insightful, poetic and humorous portrait of a frequently misunderstood profession.
